Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Indiana is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Anthem, proactively collaborates and engages with physicians and provides varied care management capabilities in order to provide members with a more customized health care experience.
In 2017, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield announced that its foundation along with 5,000 Indiana associates contributed 4,500 volunteer hours and $4 million to community organizations and initiatives aimed at improving the health of Indiana residents.
In 2016, Boys and Girls Clubs in Indiana received grants totaling $40,000 as a part of the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation's Triple Play initiative. The Triple Play initiative was created to teach and encourage healthy lifestyle choices for kids and teens during the critical hours after school.
